Activation





Use of the app requires an active license, either as a subscription on AppSource or as a license activated by Memento.

AppSource subscription

The app is licensed per user, with monthly or annual billing, and includes a free trial. Purchase the number of users who need to run imports; the licenses are then available in the Microsoft 365 admin center and can be assigned: assign licenses to users.

License activated by Memento

For volume or tenant-wide licensing, or to activate a 30-day trial without an AppSource purchase, write to [email protected]. Manual activation allows the use of bank transfer as a payment method.

The activation request must state the app to be activated and the following company information:

  • Company name

  • Company address

  • VAT Registration No.

  • Contact name

  • Contact email

Confirmation will be sent by email after the account has been created.

First steps

When the app is installed Business Central offers to run its setup wizard as soon as the installation completes.

The wizard can be run again at any time: from Extension Management with Set up this app, from Assisted Setup as Set up Import Data Templates, or with the Setup Wizard action on the Import Templates page.

The wizard has three steps:

  1. An introduction with links to this guide and to the introduction video.
  2. The example templates: a link opens the Template Examples page, where you choose the examples to create and download their sample files. The same step lets you review the permission sets of the app.
  3. Finish, which completes the setup and opens the Import Templates page.

The example templates can be deleted at any time.

For a file of your own, the quickest start is a template built from a sample: Read Structure from File on the template card creates the mapping lines from the column headers, or Suggest with Copilot proposes the whole template for you to review. Then run Validate File to check the file before the first import.

Permission Sets

There are three default permission sets for the most common scenarios:

  • Data Templates read only: read-only access to all features of the app.
  • Data Templates Super user: complete access to all features of the app, including permission to modify configurations.
  • Data Templates users: complete access to all features of the app, without permission to modify configurations.

It is recommended to assign user permissions right after installing the app, to prevent permission errors.
