Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. No exchange rates were downloaded for a date. Why?

Providers do not publish exchange rates on weekends and holidays. The app only loads the exchange rates published for the requested date and never uses the rates of another date in their place. To avoid unnecessary alerts when Date Alert is enabled, set up the holiday calendar of the provider with the Provider Configurations action in the Global Exchange Rates Setup page, as described in alerts.

2. The exchange rates were not updated. What should I check?

  • The job queue entry on the Job Queue Entries page: it must be in status Ready. If it is in error, the error message is on the entry.
  • The Provider Request Errors tile on the role center, and the Provider Requests Log page, which records the calls made to the providers and their errors.
  • The license, on the Global Exchange Rates License page: without an active license the download stops with an error.

3. Can I download the exchange rates of past dates?

Yes, for the providers that support historical data: use Update Exchange Rates on the Providers page and specify the period, as described in exchange rates download.

4. The central bank does not publish all the currencies I need.

Enable GLOBAL Provider Enabled in the setup: the currencies not available from the central bank are downloaded from the GLOBAL provider, which covers 150+ currencies.

5. The reference currency of the provider is different from the currency of my company.

Enable Convert Base Currency in the Global Exchange Rates Setup page: the exchange rates are converted into the currency of the company. The GLOBAL provider is always converted automatically.

6. I have several companies in the same tenant. How many licenses do I need?

One. The license covers all the companies and environments of the tenant. The setup, the enabled providers and the job queue entries are per company, so configure them in every company.

7. What happens to the license when I copy production to a sandbox?

Sandbox environments share the license of the production environment, so no further activation is needed.

8. Where can I find my invoices?

In the customer portal, opened with Manage Subscription from the Global Exchange Rates License page.
