Download Exchange Rates

The automatic download of exchange rates for enabled providers can be scheduled by running the job queue created during the assisted setup.

Exchange rates for enabled providers can also be loaded through the standard job queue configuration for exchange rate updates. However, it is recommended to use the dedicated functionality provided by this app.

Download Historical Exchange Rates

In the provider page, you can also download historical exchange rates for the selected provider using the Update Exchange Rates action.

After executing the action, and specifying the period of interest, the exchange rates will be updated.

If the action is executed for a provider that does not support historical data, only the most recent exchange rates can be updated.

Changing Reference Currency

In the Global Exchange Rates Setup page is it possibile to enable the configuration Convert Base Currency to be able to use a provider (central bank) even if the currency of the company is different than the reference currency of the provider. If the configuration is enabled, the system will try to convert the exchange rates in the refence currency of the current company. Using the exchange rates with this funcionality enabled may cause small differences due to rounding in the recalculation of the exchange rates.
